Learn the "secrets" to Bel Canto's signature sound from Artistic Director and Conductor Dr. Welborn Young and singers from Bel Canto Company. Spend the day singing familiar choral music and learning how Bel Canto approaches rehearsals, performances and choral music-making. Whether you are a singer, conductor or simply a fan, you will enjoy getting a behind the scenes look at how Dr. Young elicits the sublime balance, tone and ensemble that are the hallmarks of every Bel Canto Company concert.
- Participate in 3 rehearsals with one of the finest choral conductors in the region, Bel Canto's own Dr. Welborn Young
- Be inspired by singing with at least 2 Bel Canto Company singers per vocal section
- Invite your friends and family to a free public concert at the end of the workshop
- Join us for lunch and a Q & A session with Dr. Young and Bel Canto Company singers
- Get a head start . . . Copies of the music will be provided in advance for any participant who requests it.
Sign-in begins at 8:30 AM and the day will conclude with an informal concert of the music prepared throughout the day.
