Bel Canto Company Auditions for the 2008-2009 season
Bel Canto Company is an ensemble of professional singers dedicated to excellence in the performance of choral literature and is seeking experienced singers with exceptional musicianship and reading skills. All voice parts are welcome to audition. Applicants must be available for rehearsals on Monday evenings from 7-9PM. Singers will perform on all three subscription concerts, Amore, and several non-season performances within the area. Singers are paid a moderate stipend each year.
Auditions will be held on Monday, April 28 from 6:30 to 9:30 PM, and on Tuesday, April 29th from 6:30 to 8:30 PM, with a mandatory group audition on Tuesday night from 8:30-9:30 PM to evaluate singers within the context of the ensemble. Auditions will be held at the University of North Carolina Greensboro School of Music in rooms 110 and 111. Singers should prepare a solo piece (accompanist provided) and be prepared to sight-read a choral arrangement.
