How to Apply
Students in grades 9-12 interested in attending the Bel Canto Company High School Chorus Festival must apply and audition before a decision on acceptance and requests for financial assistance can be made.
Application for Admission
All applicants must submit a completed Application for Admission (2010 Application ~ MS Word or 2010 Application ~ Adobe PDF) at the time of their audition in February or with their recorded audition. The final deadline for receipt of completed applications and audition recordings is February 26, 2010.
Auditions
All applicants must audtion. You may audition live at one of three sites at the end of February, or submit a recorded audtion per the instructions on this website and the application. No student will be granted admission without an audtion.
Never auditioned before? Don't worry, there is nothing to be scared of. Many singers imagine that the person listening to them is just waiting to pounce and criticize every little thing. Nothing is further from the truth. We want you to do well! We hope that each person who comes through the door is better than the last. So, don't let the audition intimidate you. Remember, we're on your side!
Notification
Decisions regarding admission will be made in March, and each applicant will be notified of their acceptance status. Successful applicants will be mailed copies of the music to be performed during the festival and an application for need based financial assistance. Decisions regarding financial assistance will be made in April.
Tuition
Tuition for the Bel Canto Company High School Chorus Festival is $75 and must be paid in full by June 1, 2010. A non-refundable $25 deposit is due April 1, 2010 for all singers accepted into the festival. All payments may be made by cash, personal check, money order, MasterCard, VISA or Discover. No deductions or refunds will be made for late arrival, early departure, or disciplinary separation from the Festival.
