Jason Barrios holds a MM in Vocal Performance from UNCG and received his BME from Wingate University. Jason has appeared in several leading opera and operetta roles throughout his education, with a most recent performance in July 2016 with the InterHarmony International Music Festival in Italy, where he performed the role of Bartolo in Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro. Other roles include Leporello (Don Giovanni), Pooh Bah (The Mikado), Don Alhambra del Bolero (The Gondoliers), Jupiter (Orpheus in the Underworld), Dick Deadeye (H.M.S. Pinafore), as well as the title role in the musical, You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown.

Equally comfortable on the concert stage, Jason has performed the role of Pilatus in Bach’s St. John Passion, and was the bass soloist in Brahms’ Ein Deutches Requiem. Also an experienced choral singer, Jason has sung in various ensembles throughout the area including Greensboro Opera, Seasons Best Carolers, and the EMF Festival Chorus. Currently, Mr. Barrios serves as the music and drama teacher at Our Lady of Grace Catholic School, and is the bass section leader at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church.
