We are thrilled to welcome Dan Forrest to Greensboro for the world premiere!

Saturday, October 12, 8pm | Monday, October 14, 7:30pm
First Presbyterian Church, 617 N Elm St, Greensboro

Our 37th Season opens with the world premiere of the breath of life, a 4-movement work commissioned in memory of Suzanne Goddard, one of Bel Canto’s most ardent supporters. Inspired by her life and spirit, one of choral music’s most sought-after composers, Dan Forrest, has crafted a work for chorus and chamber orchestra in remembrance of one so dear. The second half of the evening will feature Forrest’s Jubilate Deo, a sweeping setting of Psalm 100 in eight different languages representing “all the earth.” Dan Forrest was one of Suzanne’s favorite composers, and we are certain he will be one of yours too.

Arrive early for a pre-concert discussion with the composer, and enjoy an evening of beautiful singing with Bel Canto.

Special Guests: Dan Forrest, Southwest Guilford High School Choir, Western Guilford High School Choir, RJ Reynolds High School Choir,  Greensboro Youth Chorus
