The Choral Arts Collective

Support

Bel Canto Company Credo

When the 2023-2024 Season concludes, 116 students will have sung in Greensboro Youth Chorus and/or Summer Choir Camp; 40 singers will have been contracted to sing with Bel Canto Company and more than 40 more talented avocational singers will have raised their voices alongside them as members of Gate City Voices; more than 2,500 people will have attended a Choral Arts Collective Concert; and thousands of people will have heard our ensembles at community performances in Greensboro, Winston Salem, High Point, Burlington, Durham, and Greenville.

We are proud of our success this season, but we aspire to even more. Our community is rich with talented singers eager for opportunities to utilize their gifts – students who lack access to choir singing and music education in their school, recent graduates of the region’s stellar music programs, emerging and established professional vocalists who call the Triad their home, and gifted singers for whom music is essential even if not their career. Furthermore, audiences crave exceptional, moving, and entertaining performances celebrating our local talent – talent on par with any city in the country. Through Greensboro Youth Chorus, Bel Canto Company, and Gate City Voices, we can provide an inter-generational musical outlet for those currently without, from our youngest singers to our most seasoned concertgoers. To serve them, we must continue to grow.

We aim to double the number of people we serve over the next three years and we need your support! With the capacity to add staff and contract artists to expand and carry out programming, we can double enrollment in Greensboro Youth Chorus and Summer Choir Camp, audition more singers for Bel Canto Company and Gate City Voices, grow our concert audiences, participate in more free community performances, annually present visionary community collaborations like Shout for Joy, and develop artist residency programs in the schools to reach under-served youth and bolster the good work of local music teachers.

Ticket sales and tuition make up 40% of our annual revenue. Corporate sponsorships account for 7% and grants and foundation support total 12%. That means 41% of our expenses are subsidized by support from individuals like you!

We invite you to invest in our vision for the future of choral music with a gift or pledge to The Choral Art Collective’s annual campaign fund. With your support, we will continue to grow, increase our capacity to provide excellent, inclusive, and engaging choral experiences for all, and celebrate the joy of singing for years to come.
